RELEASE DATE:
On July 5th, 2013 Mizuno will be releasing the much-anticipated Wave Sayonara running shoe. These shoes will replace both the Mizuno Wave Precision and Wave Elixir running shoes. These Mizuno brand new shoes are going to shake up the running world by creating its own category as a neutral runner shoe that also provides exceptional support. The Mizuno Sayonara shoes come in a variety of engaging colors and has a neat design pattern across the toe area and the sides.
The Mizuno Wave Sayonara brings you a high performance, lightweight and high mileage cushioning road running shoe. These neutral running shoes features an innovative U4ic midsole for lightweight protection, while a breathable upper provides long lasting comfort.
The Mizuno Wave Sayonara shoes are a light-weight trainer coming in at around 7.9 oz for the men and 7.1 for the women. Runners will be able to get use out of the Mizuno Wave Sayonara as a track, road, racing flat or everyday trainer. It was very exciting for me that the Mizuno Wave Sayonara has a wider toe box than my last pair of Mizuno running shoes, I felt comfortable when I put them on. The seamless upper is incredible, the cushioning is fantastic for such a lightweight shoe.
Featuring a brand new midsole material by the name of U4ic (pronounced euphoric) which is 30% lighter than Mizuno traditional AP+ midsole but still offers plenty of cushioning and a smooth transition.
These Mizuno Wave Sayonara shoes felt good for short speed training runs. Also, I used them for runs up to 8 miles which the shoe felt sturdy and my feet felt quick and light.
