Tackle any distance at any speed in the Saucony Kinvara 3. This low weight, versatile road shoe has a 4 mm heel-to-toe drop that works well for midfoot and forefoot strikers, yet still has enough cushioning for heel strikers. The bold upper is form fitting and flexible. This shoe's responsive midsole is good for just about anything from daily training to road racing.

Saucony has again improved on a shoe that had already blown away runners with its all-around performance. The Gummy Bear-esque midsole compound felt a little less squishy than in the Kinvara 2 and the test team practically gushed over the shoe’s fit and responsive performance, calling the Kinvara 3 “perfect,” “great,” “awesome,” and “the most runable Kinvara yet.” The forefoot is somewhat wider in this version, but the upper remains snug especially for those with meatier feet.

Testers found some wear started to show quickly and wondered how durable the sole would be especially for lateral or medial forefoot strikers given that the carbon rubber deltas are only placed in the center of the shoe.

These shoes felt good for short to mid range training runs.  Also, I used them for long runs up to 16 miles which the shoe felt sturdy and my feet felt  quick and light.
