When you want no rock debris to come between you and the trail, the ultra-light PureGrit 2 gives you an ultra cushioned trail run experience.   The PureGrit 2 is constructed with an outsole with an aggressive, multi-directional lug pattern for better grip on the different terrain surfaces.     This shoe comes in different blazing colors to match your outside adventures.

Runner’s World® named the PureGrit 2 “Best Update” in the Trail Shoe Guide in the April 2013 issue.   The shoe got updates to the upper, with thinner and lighter materials, asymmetrical lacing, and a wrap tongue.    This shoe update got a more traditional design – diamond-shaped lugs which have sharp edges that grip into nearly any terrain surface.

Because of their lightweight construction and fewer materials, runners should generally expect shoes from the PureGrit 2 to last approximately 300-350 miles.   With a good cushioning shoe it delivers a responsive ride with a great low feel for the ground and it encourages a forward footstrike for running efficiency.

This shoe weighs only 9.7 oz and has a 5 mm heel-to-toe drop.   The shoe has good traction making it safer to run on varied terrains.  These provide a minimalist type of trail shoe but feel well cushioned too.

These shoes felt good for mid to long trail training runs. These were a good option for making a translational shoe in moving from a normal trail shoe to a more minimalist trail shoe. Also, I have used them for a few 10k races which the shoe felt light and fast.
